Brooke Smith hasn't displayed her signature hook shot too often lately as she has stepped outside to become one of Stanford's top passers.
Stanford changed for Brooke Smith and then Smith changed for Stanford.
Three years ago, the senior from San Anselmo began her career for the Cardinal as the program's first-ever transfer after she spent her freshman season at Duke. When the skilled 6-foot-3 post assumed her spot on the roster, coach Tara VanDerveer installed the triangle offense to feature Smith in the low block and take advantage of her considerable offensive skills, including the hook shot that remains her trademark.
