The Stanford Athletic Department is looking back at the first 32 years of Tara's coaching career each day this week, leading up to her induction to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday night.
The first installment tells about Tara in the 1970s, as an undergraduate at Indiana University and in her first coaching jobs at Ohio State and the University of Idaho.
The story is accompanied by a gallery of photos you've probably not seen before, including the one on the left of Tara as an Indiana student.
