The Cardinal made just 25% of their three-point attempts, but their strong post play led them to an 84-49 victory over the UC Davis Aggies. Kayla said, "Coach has been on us about rebounding more and we got a lot of second chance points from that."
The Cardinal out-rebounded the Aggies 53-27 (23-8 on O-boards). Jayne was the top scorer with 16 points, and was just one rebound shy of a fifth straight double-double. Kayla made her third straight double-double (14 points and ten rebounds). Michelle and Nneka each had 13 points. Michelle's included three of five three-pointers.
The Aggies suited up just eight players -- six of them freshmen -- due to injuries and illness, and coach Sandy Simpson was pleased with their effort. Among the missing was Hannah's sister Haylee, so there was no Donaghe face-off after all.
