The road to San Antonio

This season's Selection Show didn't hold any surprises. The Cardinal earned the right to be confident about their seeding and placement. As expected, they set off on the road to San Antonio as the #1 seed in the Sacramento region.

Cardinal enjoys the selection show

Their first-round game is at Maples (as we already knew) against #16 UC Riverside on Saturday, March 20 at 7:30 pm. If you don't already have your ticket, you can still buy it online.

If they win that game (one game at a time), their second-round game is at Maples against either #8 Iowa or #9 Rutgers on Monday, March 22 at 6:30 pm.

If they win that game, their next game(s) will be in Sacramento at the Arco Arena. You'll be able to buy tickets from the Stanford ticket office on Tuesday, March 23.

If the seedings hold true, the Final Four in San Antonio will be Stanford vs. Nebraska and UConn vs. Tennessee. Thank you, selection committee!!

In regard to the rest of the Pac-10, UCLA is the #8 seed in the Kansas City region. Their first game will be in Minneapolis against North Carolina State. No other Pac-10 team was selected.

Here is the official tournament bracket, with a selection of various formats.
