The road to Indianapolis

The Cardinal earned the right to be confident about their seeding and placement this season. As expected, they set off on the road to Indianapolis as the #1 seed in the Spokane region. Not expected are a couple of their companions in the Spokane region — UCLA and Xavier.

Their first-round game is at Maples (as we already knew) against #16 UC Davis on Saturday, March 19 at 3:30 pm. If you don't already have your ticket, you can still buy it online.

If  they win that game (one game at a time!), their second-round game is at Maples against either #8 Texas Tech or #9 St. John's on Monday, March 21 at 6:30 pm.

If  they win that game, their next game(s) will be in Spokane at the Veteran's Memorial Arena. You'll be able to buy tickets from the Stanford ticket office on Tuesday, March 22.

If  the seedings hold true, they'll play #4 Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen.

If  they win that game and the seedings hold true, they'll play #2 Xavier in the Elite Eight — a repeat of last season's Elite Eight!

If  the seedings don't hold true, they might play #3 UCLA – for the fourth time this season! – in the Elite Eight. (UCLA's first game is in Spokane against #14 Montana.)

If  the seedings hold true, the Final Four in Indianapolis will be Stanford vs. Baylor and UConn vs. Tennessee. Thank you, selection committee!!

The only other Pac-10 team that was selected is Arizona State. They are a #7 seed in the Dayton Region. Their first game is in Salt Lake City against #10 Temple.

Here is a printable bracket and an interactive bracket.
