The Cardinal is getting lots of attention from the media as the season is about to open:
- Ogwumike sisters power Stanford women by Tom FitzGerald (San Francisco Chronicle)
- Nneka Ogwumike sets her sights on that elusive title, by Rick Eymers (Palo Alto Online)
- Stanford has a new look with running, athletic players who plan to push tempo when possible from the Associated Press
(Don't know what a jab step is? Michael Jordan explains.)
- Stanford Women's Basketball Roundtable, video of the Cardinal Channel's women's basketball analysts Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, Kevin Danna and Tim Swartz discussing the 2011-12 campaign
They picked Nneka as the top power forward. Graham Hays picked Chiney as one of the top five centers, saying that she, "is less a true center than true force of nature."
If you've lost track of all the changes in the Pac-12 this season, this article by Meri-Jo Borzilleri (ESPNw) will bring you up to date: There's still Stanford, but much else is new
