A blocked shot is considered to be one of the most exciting plays in basketball. A player with the ability to block shots can be a great asset to a team's defense, as they can make it difficult for opposing players to shoot near the basket and by keeping the basketball in play, as opposed to swatting it out of bounds. To be a good shot-blocker, a player needs great court sense and timing, and good height or jumping ability. That's our Jayne!—Wikipedia
She set the Stanford record for blocks in a season (61) in her freshman year, then exceeded that last season with 84. And now her block of Ify Ibekwe's layup on March 5 and two more against ASU on March 7 brings her career total to 204, three more than the Stanford record Val Whiting set in 1989-93.
Congratulations Jayne!!
