Jayne wore her uniform, but didn't play until well into the second half when the Wildcats pulled to within three points. Tara couldn't stand it any longer and put her in. She said after the game, "Jayne came in and gave our team a great spark. Her presence in there was real comforting to everyone, including me."
Nneka led all scorers with 25 points to which she added 10 rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Kayla also had a double-double – 11 points and 11 rebounds – and five assists and a steal.
Jeanette was hot on the perimeter tonight. She hit five three-pointers – two of them in the first five minutes, which kick-started the team after a sluggish start. And she had four assists with just one turnover, two blocks, a steal and six rebounds. All in all, a great game!
Mel appeared to be feeling stronger. She played 20 minutes without her leg wraps, had four beautiful assists with no turnovers, four points and three rebounds.
