Stanford vs Washington
The Huskies came out fighting and kept it close for about 17 minutes. Then the Cardinal got serious. Nneka began an 11-3 streak with a pair of jumpers. Bonnie added a 3-pointer, the Cardinal's first one of the game. And the Cardinal went to the locker room with a fairly comfortable 37-24 lead.
The struggle continued through the second half to an eventual 76-57 victory for the Cardinal.
This was not the Cardinal's finest game, but they got the job done. Some of the Cardinal highlights:
- Nneka's stalwart play against the Huskies' so-tough bigs and her 18 points
- Chiney's 16-11 double-double
- Bonnie's five bombs from beyond the arc and Lindy's two
- Amber's steal and fast break layup

Arizona State vs Arizona
ASU has won both season meetings between these teams so it was expected this game would also be a Sun Devil win and so it finally was. The Sun Devils won 68-53 and their hopes for a post-season berth remain alive.
The Wildcats made it interesting for a while in the second half, when with much effort they reeled a 16-point deficit back to a mere six. The sparse crowd, remembering yesterday's late-inning comeback that upset UCLA, perked up. But even with Kali Bennett on the bench with four fouls, Arizona couldn't get closer than six.
Neither team was able to capitalize on their opportunities, or perhaps it would be kinder to say that both team's defenses were working very well. ASU didn't so much dominate the game as make fewer mistakes. Stanford's coaching staff, observing from the sidelines, seemed to spend a lot of time chatting and laughing, as well they might.

California vs Colorado
If you like lots of action, you would have loved this game — good basketball? not so much.
The game was characterized by wild, out of control drives to the basket and desperation shots. Both teams seemed Intent on drawing fouls. That tactic won the game for the Bears. Both teams scored 44 points from the field — the Buffs added 15 points at the free throw line; the Bears added 24.
The Bears opened with a 10-0 run and led all the way. The Buffs cut the lead to six with 1:20 minutes to play, but that's as close as they got. Cal won 68-59.

USC vs Washington State
The Cougs arrived at the Galen Center in a glass coach sprinkled with magic dust, played the game of their lives, and trounced the Trojans 69-55.
The Cougs shot the lights out – 45% from the field, 10 of 20 three-pointers — and their never-give-up defense (plus a little magic dust) held the Trojans to 26% from the field.
It was a very fast-paced game. Jazmine Perkins, who can be wild, was in control tonight and led the Cougs to a well-earned victory. The Trojans were simply unable to cope.
